It's time!!!!

It is about 7:45 am. In 15 minutes we will leave for the hospital. The next time I come back into this house I will be a mommy and will hopefully have 2 babies with me. It is so surreal. I am excited, nervous... many other feelings... and THIRSTY. One of the downsides of having a scheduled c-section is that I was not allowed to drink or eat anything after midnight. Oh well... it is worth it!!!!

So, next time I post I won't be pregnant any more. The big belly will be gone... and I will be able to share news about my new daughter and son!!!!!

I'm READY!

This picture was taken on Wednesday of this week. I think it truely shows how big I have gotten. In addition, swelling has finally happened. My hands, wrists, ankles, and legs ache all the time. I guess it is from all of the fluid.

Sweet progress!!!!!

I just wanted to post a quick update. Sorry it is late in coming. It is difficult to do a whole lot when on bedrest... especially when you are required to stay on your left side 80% of the day!

As of this morning, the babies seem to be doing really well. We went in for an appt today. Both babies passed the non-stress test. They also did some quick measurements and said they think our little girl is around 3 lbs 14 oz and our little boy is around 4 lbs 12 oz. If this is correct, then they have both gained over a pound in the last 2 1/2 weeks. We will go to a Duke specialist next Tuesday for more accurate measurements.

If the measurements are correct, then we will most likely be able to post pone the c-section (now scheduled for March 20). This will mean the babies have more time to develope correctly and will have less of a chance of being in the NICU. Unfortunately, it will mean a couple more weeks of this side bedrest, but it is worth it!!!!!

So, we just take it day by day and pray for the best!
