PEE PEE!!!! Yeah!!!!
Our big excitement of the day, B peepee'd in the potty, TWO TIMES!!!!!! She has been really into "pee pee and poo poo"... and often tells us when she has it. So, I figured she might be getting ready. Most of the time she is dry in the morning and after nap. So, I just sat her on the potty first thing. It took a couple of minutes, but she went!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!! My goal is to keep putting her on their after sleeping and see how that goes. Z no interest at all.

WOW... Monkey can use a FORK!!!!!!
Monkey Boy has a little bit of a texture issue. He doesn't like to pick up things that are slimy or too messy. Today I fed the Wondertwins cantelope. Monkey just kept looking at the melon on his tray. So, I started feeding him with the fork and bowl I was using. I was getting more for Bumblebee and set the bowl and fork down on Monkey's tray. He immediately picked up the fork, speared a selected melon and ate it!!!! I was so surprised!
I ran to get the camera, but the battery was dead! By the time I got it charged enough he was done eating melon. So, I got out some raspberries in an attempt to get him to do the same trick.
Notice how he checks the berries out. First he pokes at them. When I tell him to use the fork, he gets down to business, but hesitates when he gets it to him mouth. After the video ends (camera died again) he finally ate the berry.
I was just so excited to see his coordination! I am in shock that he can not only hold the fork, but pick out food, stab it with the fork, and put the food in his mouth... WITHOUT making a mess!!!!! WHOOOOoooHOOOooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have another WALKER!!!!!
Yesterday Little Frog started taking more steps. Before she would take 1 before toppling over. This time she would walk about 5 steps into Mommy or Daddy's arms. She just went back and forth for about 30 minutes! It was right at bedtime. So, I was even more impressed by her energy that late in the day. She ended up staying up until after 8! Soon they will both be running everywhere!!!!

Frog legs
Little Frog is cruising. She is also doing a great job pushing toys and walking. Here is a little clip. You can also see the sibling rivalry that has been starting. Most of the time Monkey wants whatever Frog has.

First words!
Today the babies both signed and said, "All Done" after eating. Z does a one hand wipe/shake. He says "Ahh Duhhh". He doesn't do it on command yet though. So, his may not be ingrained. Here is a video of B. She now says it all the time. Hers is more of a clap and throwing her arms out. Sorry it is so dark.
They are both so cute!

I think we have a walker
On Monday, Monkey Boy started taking 3-4 steps at a time. He will walk between things or from something to me. Sometimes he will walk towards something and turn around to walk back (usually to Mommy).
We thought he was busy before! lol Let the fun begin!
No, I have not forgotten about little Frog. She has actually started getting on her hands and knees more. She does a little inchworm/army crawl. However, I am looking forward to her crawling on hands and knees.

Almost a toddler
Monkey boy is growing and growing. On Tuesday he took a step. Friday he took 2 or 3. Now he stands on his own for a bit... Sometime he lets go of things just so he can stand for a few seconds or take a step or two towards Mommy or Daddy.
He got tubes last month and now chatters all the time. He doesn't say specific things often like B. He just chatters about everything and to everyone.

I can't believe he is going to be 1 in a couple of weeks!

10 months
I know 10 months has come and gone... quite a while ago for us. However, I was looking through some e-mails and saw this list. I wanted to post it while I had a chance (better late than never!) I will try to do an 11 month one soon.
Can you believe their pictures were at 9 months!!!???? TIME IS FLYING WAY TO FAST!!!!
Anyway... Here it is.
Lets see if I can tell 10 things about each for now.
B- Little Frog
1. Army crawls, but it looks more like an inchworm.
2. Says Dada any time dad is around or I am on the phone (she thinks it is him).
3. Loves her paci and blankey... has a hard time putting them down after naps.
4. Loves to eat... scoops everything off her tray and tries to shove as much in her mouth as possible. Throws stuff she doesn't want on the floor with little thought.
5. Likes to rock on the rocking elephant... will move her legs up and down to prompt you to rock her.
6. Would rather stand than sit (Dr. was quite amused by this!).
7. Claps her hands for just about everything... Sometimes says, "Yeah!" when clapping.
8. LOVES BOOKS!!!! Yesterday she sat and looked at a book for 45 minutes of the ride home from grandma's house.
9. Does well with a sippy cup, but easily distracted when nursing.
10. In a social situation she wants to watch, but sticks close to mom.
11. (I know I said 10) Started saying, "Mama" yesterday!
Z- Monkey Boy
1. Crawls VERY fast!
2. Is cruising and pushing toys while walking.
3. Has become a little chatter box since getting tubes... likes to growl!
4. LOVES to breast feed! Flies across the room when I make the sign for "milk". However, he mostly refuses the sippy.
5. Very tough! Crawls over sister and takes anything he wants from anybody.
6. Does not like white potatoes... cries when I try to feed them to him.
7. Eats very slowly and with precision... often takes cheerios one at a time and then nibbles on them.
8. Likes to crawls while pushing cars around the room.
9. Does not want to stay still to get his diaper changed.
10. Likes to go to the TV to try to touch the Baby Einstein puppets.
11. (I have to make it even with Bree's) LOVES to hit the glass back door and get Ziggy to play with him. He laughs hysterically if Ziggy jumps up and down or barks. (I will try to post a video of this soon!)
-Both babies LOVE to dance! If I start singing a certain tune they will start shaking their butts and bopping up and down.
-They both enjoy Baby Einstein and will immediately calm down when it comes on.
-Both are good at eating solids... They really like peaches, bananas, grapes, and cheerios.
-They love baths and will both crawl as fast as they can to the bathroom, from the living room, once the water turns on (It is hilarious seeing their naked butts rushing down the hall!)
-Both have some degree of separation anxiety. It is often hard for me to even leave the room.

Two front teeth for Christmas!
Our Christmas was the best yet! We had so much fun spending time together with each other and with our families. It makes all the difference when you have little ones to share it with.
Christmas Day Monkey Boy's top right tooth popped through. It has been giving him trouble for weeks! The left one isn't far behind. In addition, Frog's top left one appeared yesterday! So, we got two front teeth for Christmas!
On the milestone's front, Frog started clapping yesterday. It is so cute! She won't clap if anyone else is clapping. She has to have the attention. Then she smiles so big! I'm so proud of her!

Pulling up!
Last Monday I was in the living room playing with the Wondertwins. I went to hang up the phone... when I turned around Monkey Boy was standing! He had pulled up on the coffee table. I got a bit of video before he plopped down. I tried to get him to do it again, but he wouldn't.
Today, the babies went down for their nap rather late. The fussed and fought. I decided to separate them so they could fall asleep easier. I hadn't been gone but about 5 minutes. I went in to see Monkey hanging over the side of the crib trying to reach the strap of a toy hanging in Frog's crib!!! Had I not gone in, he probably would have tumbled out!!!!
So, tonight the Hubby and I had to lower his mattress. He is now about 1ft lower than his sister. However, he is safe... For NOW! lol
AND THAT is why we call him Monkey!!!!

We have a crawler!
As of last week Monkey Boy officially became a crawler. He had been doing the one hand/one elbow/one knee/one foot scoot for a couple of weeks. Then, last Tuesday he just figured it out. Now he is on the go!!!! His favorite thing to do is chase the dogs.
Better watch out puppies... he is getting faster every day!

Wondertwin's milestones
So, we have some big steps. Monkey boy finally has two teeth sprouting up. The bottom left one was felt last Sunday. The bottom, front, right tooth was felt the following day.
In addition, he all of a sudden started making consonant sounds today! On the way to the vet he kept saying, "Mamamama... Bababab... Gu Gu". I was so excited to hear him!
Little Frog started sitting up on her own for long periods yesterday. She and Monkey like to play with a little piano. She sat for about 30 minutes playing with it!
She also stretches her mouth horizontally and says, "Yaya ya ya ya ya". It is so cute... especially with those two little bottom teeth.
They are getting so big!
